Soal kepopuleran, game ini terjual 2,5 juta kopi dalam hari pertama perilisan, sehingga menjadi game rilisan PS Studios dengan penjualan tercepat, mengalahkan God of War: Ragnarok dan The Last of Us Part 2.

Beralih ke kategori game PS4 terbaik tahun ini (PS4 Game of the Year), game penyihir Hogwarts Legacy menjadi pemenangnya. Sementara itu, posisi runner-up diisi oleh Resident Evil 4 Remake (Gold), Lies of P (Silver), dan Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon (Bronze).

Sebagai perbandingan, kategori game PS4 dan PS5 terbaik untuk ajang PlayStation Blog Game of the Year Awards 2022 diamankan oleh God of War: Ragnarok, yang baru-baru ini mendapatkan konten tambahan gratis berjudul God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla.

Game indie terbaik tahun 2023 adalah Sea of Stars (Platinum), kemudian diikuti oleh Blasphemous 2 (Gold), Dredge (Silver), dan Humanity (Bronze).
